There is a new and manifest spirit of resistance that is visible around the world. Everywhere people are searching for, and experimenting with, creative means to assert a new social autonomy, outside the control of financial capital. Never has there been a better time, a more important time, for creative artists to join with social activists to give shape to the emerging social struggles.
Performing artists and arts activists converge in Arezzo, Italy for the second annual CrisisArt Festival to create, discuss, plan and above all share their visions of their art and the future.

What I'm afraid of the most
is to become a "poet"
being locked inside a room
and gaze at the sea
what I'm afraid of the most
is to forget.
Is to transform my howls into whispers
to lull my loved ones.
To verse myself in rhyme and technique
so they can sing me.
But no.
One morning I'll open the door
and go out on the streets
like yesterday.

with the dream of revolution
into the endless loneliness
of burning streets

of paper barricades

Εκείνο που φοβάμαι πιο πολύ
Είναι μη γίνω “ποιητής“.
Μην κλειστώ στο δωμάτιο
ν'αγναντεύω τη θάλασσα
κι απολησμονήσω.
Μη γίνουνε τα ουρλιαχτά μου μουρμούρισμα
για να κοιμίζω τους δικούς μου.
Μη μάθω μέτρο και τεχνική
και κλειστώ μέσα σε αυτά
για να με τραγουδήσουν
Μα όχι.
Ένα πρωί θ'ανοίξω την πόρτα
